St. Vincent’s Strange Mercy on NPR

Speaking of new ways to hear new and interesting music, there’s always NPR. I can’t even begin to list all the new and interesting music I’ve heard courtesy of National Public Radio. It truly is an invaluable resource to our culture that if I wasn’t perpetually broke, I’d gladly become a member to our local station just to keep it going nationally.

Right now, they’ve got St. Vincent’s new album “Strange Mercy” up for audio streaming. I highly recommend giving it a listen. It’s a clear, trippy vibe to carry you through an afternoon. It sounds a lot like the period of time it’s being released, end wanning days of summer and the early chill of autumn.

Even if I’m listening to it on the HTPC right now, its definitely a headphones album, so keep those cans handy.
